Can I draw my LCP from my sock like I did at the old Heartland Outdoors matches?

Equipment: Practical guns .380 or larger, carried in practical gear. Holster (required) must cover trigger guard. Two spare magazines

Rules: Basically, USPSA rules with TIME PLUS scoring. All calibers/power factors are scored the same.

Divisions:

Carry Gun
MUST shoot from concealment in standard concealed carry gear!!
Low Cap: = 10 rounds per magazine

Shoot from concealment would mean to present your weapon as you would on the street. Most likely from an IWB holster with a shirt covering it.

Standard concealed carry gear would be the stuff you wear daily while you conceal carry. Holster and mag pouches, or extra mags in pocket. Which ever way you choose to carry.

This match is made to keep people trained up on what they carry daily so that you can not only practice with your current gear, but find out what stuff really works and what doesn't.

We did find a pile of old Heartland gift certificates in the back room. If you want them, we can give you one at each match you attend.

Great match. Had fun. The ventilation makes it tolerable for folks to shoot lead.
I shot one of those guns with bumpy things on top. It was fun.

Used IDPA scoring which makes you shoot accurately. Best of both worlds, uspsa rules with IDPA scoring.

Terry.....exactly what it means. The intent is what it is.....they want to keep this as a cw carries a defensive pistol on the street.

When this match closed the last time...we were letting folks run 'match guns' and speedy gear... as those folks were using the venue as a tuner for USPSA or whatever.

So....if you feel your open blaster, CR belt and offset holster are 'carry gear'.....argue on.

Good. We were letting people shoot without a cover garment to. You should see a few people who just dont know how to draw from concealed garments yet.

Be advised... eventually someone will get butt hurt over a small of back, etc....as they carry that way. The peanut gallery gets swept....

Of all the things I miss... that defense match is top of the list. It's what IDPA should be
