April 15. What a wonderful day! All of us get to pay our fair share to Washington, D.C., where they will spend each of our "Fair Share" in approximately 2.873 seconds, and want more.

April 15. What a wonderful day! All of us get to play a fair game of Practical Pistol at Old Fort Gun Club. All we ask is a minimum (Flat Rate) of 167 rounds, for six stages, including Classifier CM 99-10. We won't want more rounds, unless of course you miss some of the steel or other stuff. Everything is Comstock, so you are welcome to donate extra rounds at any time, to help cover your share of the Deficit -- in your point score.
Â
Sign in around 0930 on Sunday morning, shooters meeting at 1000, then the fire fight starts.

FYI, and, The Rest of The Story -- Federal law says income taxes are due on April 15. If April 15 is on a weekend (Sunday, this year), taxes are due on the next business day, i.e., Monday, April 16, this year.  But wait! April 16 is a holiday called "Emancipation Day," but only in Washington D.C. No other state recognizes this holiday, or even knows what the hell is it. But then, Washington D.C. is not a state. The federal government, in Washington D.C., doesn't want Washington D.C. to feel like a step-child, so the federal government offices, ONLY IN WASHINGTON D.C., recognize Emancipation Day, and close -- including the IRS National offices. We can't have tax returns due on a day that the IRS national office is closed, so their employees can go out and get Emancipated, so this year income tax returns are due the next day, Tuesday, April 17. Now you know, The Rest of The Story.

Range Officer, Level I Class. Old Fort Gun Club is hosting a USPSA Level I Range Officer class on May 19 and 20. Details and entry form are attached. This class is only $40, with the OFGC picking up the balance of any costs. Class room work on Saturday, then put your new-found skills to work on Sunday at the OFGC regular monthly match -- and shoot the match for free. That means a $15 savings on the match, so the class only costs a net of $25. Learn more than you can remember about how this game is played, and gain a new appreciation for how this should work. A great tool to learn more about shooting.
Â
Please, get your entry form and check postmarked to Deb Pankratz no later than April 30. Deb has to report to the national headquarters and get class materials by May 7. Class size is limited, so get your reservation in soon.
