Very interisting read. However I would like to see a test like that done under normal shooting conditions. I rarely shoot more than 200 (closer to 125) rounds through my AR in a typical range session. Then it gets a full cleaning and oiling as soon as I get home. I've had my AR (Hesse AR15A2 20" HBAR) in the closet for a few years but just last year started shooting it. I have been shooting some unknown steel cased bulk ammo that I got with the rifle and haven't had one single failure with it yet.
I'm sure that condtions of a three gun match are a lot harder on a gun that I normaly shoot since I don't shoot near as fast while out playing. Though that will change now that I've got the three gun bug.
