Ok here is how it is going to go down. The winner of the 1st annual BoomerShooter deer hunting contest will be determined by the last three digits at the close of the Dow Jones Exchange price on Thursday Jan 19, without going over. Today, the Dow closed at 12,578.95, so the winner, if it were today, would be the closest to 8.95 without going over.
We have 12 entry's. To make the odds equal for all contestants, I took 10 and divided it into 12, so there is equal spacing between the numbers.

I thought the rule was "closest without going over.."

The only number that moves was the Dow number, I assumed that's the number that would "go over" or pass your number. Either way, if a mistake was made, no biggie and congrats to whoever ends up with it.
