Folks,
I am posting this over here in hopes to reach a few more folks or explain what a sectional is to some of the newer folks. Each year, there is an annual match that is usually 8-10 stages and there are awards at the end for each Division and each class. It's a chance to shoot Nationals level stages without the Nationals pressure and travel/entry expense. You don't have to run the Nook/iPad, etc, and you have a ton of folks on the squad to help paste and reset steel. It is nothing more than a longer local match with dedicated RO's. The entry fee almost covers the cost to put one on and believe me $50 for a match with this caliber of stages and the RO's that are running the stages is nothing. So don't let the work "Sectional" scare you off of coming to either one of the Sectionals this year. We, the staff, work very hard to run these things and I would love nothing more than to worry about a waitlist this year. We draw almost 100 shooter most months at our local match at OKCGC, there is no reason we can't get 120 to the Sectionals. If you want to sign up now and pay at some point before the match but cant immediately, shoot me an email to [email protected] and let me know. This way I can mark you in the system and it won't drop you at midnight.
