My wife and I have been planning this for years. The kids are grown, so we got a place on the ocean in Myrtle Beach. I've been carrying for years, and I just got my SC CWP. We still spend a lot of time north of the border (my wife is Canadian), but we'll be spending more time in SC in the future. When up north, I do my best to help reform their horrible gun laws. I volunteer for their NRA equivalent, and instruct range safety officers and handgun safety instructors.

I've been looking for an outdoor pistol range a reasonable drive from MB. Any suggestions?

A lot of us LowCountry folks Shoot At Boggy Head Range. It is inThe National Forest. It is on Highway 41 Just East Of Jamestown...Jamestown is not far from Georgetown...

Maybe you can meet some of us ther one weekend...

Welcome, I am in Myrtle Beach too.

My CWP instructor is wanting to open up his own outdoor place around here so he could do more advance training with rifle and pistol. Just finding a place is the problem.

I am in the process of joining up with this place out in Aynor, about 45 minutes away from MB to shoot at. But no one ever picks up the phone or calls me back.
 
That would be excellent, Joker. Maybe a place in the Georgetown area to draw people from MB and Charleston would be good. Have South Carolinians got onto the anti-noise bandwagon?
