Ask the semi-pro

One of the Top 3 Gun Nation Pro Series competitors Rustin Bernskoetter takes a little Semi Pro Advice by pulling his trigger harder to completely destroy an MGM Spinner Target at the 2012 MGM Iron Man 3 Gun Championship.

Yeah pulling the trigger hard works for sure. I ran the entire Iron Man with #9 spreaders and a diffusion choke. I just varied my trigger pull strength depending on target style.

Hello all, new to the site Semi-Pro here.

As an official semi-pro, I need help answering this question if ever asked:

So how/when does a semi-pro decide to go prone?"

What is the proper response for a semi-pro?

1. When there is a good looking lady already there?
2. When I have shot a bunch of bullets in every other position and just haven’t gotten it done yet? (A good looking lady may be involved here also)
3. When I’m tired and just want to lay there and let someone else do the work? (And of course a good looking lady may be involved here)

Any others?

Also a semi-pro never goes prone if he has already lost the match...... Just shoot that elephant dung standing up (fell free to shoot through a port that might or might not be a real port) so you can at least have the best time/look the best on your YouTube vids. Most importantly always remember matches are not won at the range...... They are won by who looks the best on YouTube.

Thanks for your inquiry

I couldn't have said it better myself. Looks are 80% of it for a Semi-Pro....you can't see the hits on YouTube so who cares if you are really hitting anything or not, especially on paper where there is no RO calling hits....just blaze away as fast as you can pull the trigger and get your view counts up!

I would presume not, because TDSA doesn't have a dress code. Anything Semi-Pro approved would most likely have a strict dress code

Negative. AP1 without dress code is approved on account of extreme badassery.

Semi Pros, What advice can you give me for High Plains any advice would help!

Don't suck. See ya'll in the morning.

Damn I hope you never go Pro. Where will go for this kind of advice???

I'm thinking next year instead of the jerseys saying "team boomershooter" they will say "boomershooter semi-pro"

I'm thinking you are not giving the title of semi pro enough credit. This is title must be earned! You all could have earned it by jumping on 3 gun nation website this winter/spring and paring $25 you cheap MF'ers!

There was a terrible rumor that Chambers had injured himself falling off a camel and wouldn't be shooting High Plains. I am happy to report that is false. He is indeed shooting the match (but he wouldn't comment on the camel thing).

I picked up a Semi Pro tip at the High Plains pool party. Not sure which Semi said it cause they were everywhere! It was epic.

Dude in pool says, "Hey, who's hand was that?"

Unknown Semi Pro Response, "It's only weird if you make it weird."
