So, I have no earthly idea how this happened. I'm embarrassed to even ask this! I TAKE CARE of my possessions. I keep my two-tone Kimber Pro Carry II in its blue Kimber ziplock plastic baggie in its case. A small, about 2mm. long surface scratch, on the matte black top, near the front top of the ejector port has appeared. Not to the metal, in fact, since I haven't even gotten a chance to shoot it yet, due to upcoming surgery on my dominant arm, I "assume" it either, was there, and I didn't see it (not likely), or, the roughness of the inside of the blue bag, there was supposed to be a second clear bag in the blue Kimber logo bag, but my gun never came with it. Or: the plastic orange flag, or the white plastic ID tag attached to the trigger guard, was missing as well. Did I buy a used gun as new? IDK, but I wonder. But there is no wear on the gun anywhere to suggest it's used. Again, IDK, but I paid full retail from a Kimber dealer. IDK.
Anyway, is there some "touch-up" dark flat black paint I can use a tiny/fine paint brush to cover it? Is this SOOO anal? YES!!! Guilty as charged! It just bothers me! Any ideas? I took a picture of it attached, and under strong light, it does look like it went down to the metal, but it didn't. Any products to touch up scratches on painted pistol surfaces? Yes, this is a REALLY LONG post about basically nothing. Forgive me. Just asking if there is an easy/quick/cheap solution. Than you for putting up, with me! See the small scratch? NEXT 1911 will be all stainless steel!!! NO MORE KIMPRO finished guns!!!
