I just happened across this site today and joined. I am a retired police officer and used to be very active in ppc competition when it was in it's heyday. I have to admit I am a revolver guy. I bought my first 45 auto about six months ago. I do love shooting it but revolvers have my heart.
 
You and Burk will get along great. There are a lot of shooting events you'll find here that allow, and even encourage the use of revolvers. ex: Heartland Carry Match, ICORE, etc.
