This is a sacred day that should be a time to reflect on the men who died for the most noble reason of defeating evil in a quest to allow all of us to live in freedom. WWII and the greatest generation should be at the center of reflection. No generation has, or will ever compare to them.
We should never, ever again, accept any encroachment on our liberties like what took place from 2020 to 2025. We are Americans. We should never tolerate tyranny.

Too damn many ungrateful idiots. The greatest generation for sure. But my heart goes out to those who have served since ww2, primarily Viet Nam Vets who have been treated so absolutely shamelessly awful. May God bless and keep everyone who has served fought or died for this country. The unpayable debt. God Bless, and Thank You.

This was me, pushing our last WWII Vet up to the Tomb of the Unknown, at Arlington national Cemetery, to lay a wreath. What an Honor that was.

I went out at dawn to lower the flag to half-mast per flag protocol.
Then at noon, raised it briskly to full staff.
A somber day to remember my brothers and sisters in arms that did not make it home.
We don't celebrate Memorial day, we honor it.
