Hey guys. I haven't fired any 357 from my gun in a while, so I loaded some up the other day and wanted tO shoot a few at the range. However, they didn't want to chamber. I figured no biggie, I've shot 38 specials through it nearly exclusively this past year, so I got out the bore cleaner and a brush and went to town.
I've got probably an hour in scrubbing chambers at least by now, and still no go. My golden Saber factory rounds won't work, and only 11 out of my 40 reloads will chamber free.
I never had this issue before, the gun fired factory and reload 357 exclusively until I got into competition shooting last year. Could I have flame etched the chamber walls in 1 or 2 thousand 38 rounds?
Here's a video showing the distance the rounds lack from seating in the chamber. I'd estimate it about .005 or .010. http://youtu.be/sk5xisj4ovA
