For a variety of vary good reasons, the Multi Gun match at OFGC for June will be held on Sunday, June 30. There will not be a Multi gun match on June 9, the second Sunday. Again, this is for a variety of vary good reasons.
Honestly, I don't remember the "very good reasons," and I am not even sure that I was told the specific "very good reasons." I was just told to send the message. Perhaps, at my age, it is better that I not be overwhelmed with details. So, now you know as much as I do about the dates of the Multi gun match for June at OFGC.
I do know that Deb is planning 5 stages, that will test your skills with all three guns. Details and round count will be sent out as soon as they are available.
As you may remember from earlier emails, OFGC has affiliated with 3 Gun Nation for our Multi gun matches. We will still shoot by basic USPSA Multi gun rules, but will have one or more 3 Gun Nation Classifiers for each match. This means you might be on the 100 yard rifle range, so check you sight-in for distance. Personally, I try to stay dead on with the AR 15 at four feet to fire a 5" group of two rounds, so I may need some adjustment.
As best as I remember, affiliation with 3 Gun Nation provides some neat bonuses. You pay a pretty cheap annual fee to join 3 Gun Nation and get Classifier scores sent in to a national data base. At the end of the year, they donate a gun for a drawing among OFGC shooters who are members of 3 Gun Nation and have shot Classifiers. A deal for a drawing for a free gun each year. Personally, I am in favor of drawings for a free gun. Get details at www.3gunnation.com
Right now, you know all I know. But you need to put June 30 on the schedule to be at OFGC for a great Multi gun match. More details to you when they come to me.
