3-Gun at OKCGC

I'm borrowing an FNH SLP, this is going to be my first 3 gun match with out a shotgun malfunction ................ It just has to be!!!!

And I get to try out the new 3-gun AR :86:
 
Jesse, I've not taken the class just grew up a Redneck LOL all our stories start out with "We got beer then" it could be all the time my shotgun was over there and the Redneck saturated into the shotgun and with shooting it the Redneck is rubbing off?

Should be a good time either way and I'm looking forward to seeing what I need to work on cause I'm sure I will need to change some ways. Later,

Anyone have a spare inner belt? My buddy is going to participate in this match - 1st time shooting in a match woo hoo - but I was gonna let him share my rig and thought a second inner might make it run a bit smoother.
 
Guess I better make some ammo for this...before my next beer anyway.

JP I have an extra instructor's belt you can use (plain-jane stiff nylon belt...not the inner/outer type), still better than taking your inner off/on all day. It's for a 32" waist.
 
side note...just killed my first 8 lb. jug of powder, meaning in the last year I've put 13K pistol rounds downrange....334 pounds of lead...

What size does he need? I have a bunch of 38-40's
 
he wears a size 32-33 so anything from 34 up should be good - Robusto said he had one that I can borrow - I'm going to run out and see if I can grab it shortly. if not, I could wear the 38 and lend him my 36.
 
I really wanted to come out and play. Siding a friends house instead. Where's the fun in that. Next time. I guess you will have to have some one else make your scores even better!!
 
Guys thanks had a good time, heck of a match for my first and I didn't finish last YEA! the CZ ran awesome FINALLY :-) thanks Kurt! the AR worked great I just have to remember to breath every now and again. Looking forward to the next! I sure did miss shooting matches over the past several years just a few things I need to work on.

Had a great time out there today and I learned my lesson about trying to play cheap and use steel cased ammo. I ended up getting 9 no shoots on stage 5 cause a case got stuck in the chamber :( oh well, you live and learn.
Can't wait for the next one.
 
Was that your Tula 9mm ammo all over the place? The cheap stuff runs great in the AK and great in Jesse's AR in 5.45 surprisingly. Optics made it seem so much easier but I don't think my scores validate my statement.

And I got beat by my own AK!! Love it!!
 
No I was using Winchester white box for the pistol.
The AR I was using the cheap crap which was dumb on my part. Thought I'd try it out and now I know why I didn't before.
 
9mm Tula was me bought it back when Obama was about to become president. I reload rifle butPretty quick I hope to start reloading pistol. Had a case just 500 left to go I feel like they have more recoil than the winchester. But when I bought them ammo was hard to find.

Great match guys had fun glad to meet more Boomershooters
