22 LR ammo!

Is anyone having any luck finding 22 ammo, I was at the Woodward Gun show in January and they was selling 50rd boxes of America Eagle for upwards of $12 and boxes of 500rd for upwards of $70-$80, I understand the whole supply and demand but geesh come on. The Wal-Mart in Woodward and Alva are saying they just can't get it in the LGS and Atwoods can't seem to get it either. I did notice tonight that Bass Pro shops says available in stores only does that mean they do have it on there shelves? I can't ever really remember seeing 22 ammo become so scarce in all my 47 yrs, I guess out of all this rambling I guess my question is, Is everyone on here running into the same problem?

Shattuck, dang your out there in flat land! back when I was married I did a mess of hunting out around Fargo out off the Sharon/Shattuck heck I think Millford's folks are still out there in Shattuck! the Jenkins.

All ammo seems to be difficult to find these days! much cheaper to practice my LR shooting with the 22LR than the 308 plus I don't need all the room. Good luck to ya finding ammo! Later,

I haven't seen a box of .22 ammo since 2012.

I got lucky this morning. Had to stop by Walmart for some tampons so I figured while I was there I'd check to see if there was any ammo. Boom! 100 round Win Pack of WWB .40 S&W.

They also had multiple boxes of federal hydra shok in either 9 or 40. But that was about it other than shotgun shells.

Unfortunately the hillbillies saw this as a Job opportunity. They buy it all up and are asking .10 a round. As long as their in business were all screwed!

I happened to get to Walmart as they were unloading the ammo from the truck. They had a brick of 10 boxes of winchester 100 round packs at 3.95/box. I tried to buy the whole brick, but the manager only let me have 3 and the rest were gone within minutes.

Keep checking at Walmart. Most stores receive trucks every day and ammo is coming in. I scored three 325 ct boxes of .22 LR Monday evening. The limit is three boxes per day per customer so I went back Tuesday morning and they still had a bunch of CCI Stingers so I bought a few boxes of those.

I don't know how "real" the expected arrival date is...but I located backorderable .22 at Midsouth today...it shows expected deliver 2-12 I believe

By no means a great deal..but if someone's looking for a decent quantity of .22lr to last them through this mess. There is a listing on armslist/ammo 2x1400 rounds of Remington. (Bucket o bullets) for 120$ a piece. I would negotiate that down though or I wouldn't bother. I think they generally run about 70$.

When this nutter stuff started I thought I would be stuck shooting .22's until I realized there were no .22 ammo either so I got my Bob gun out...it was broken. I haven't fired a shot in anger in months...it's not healthy.

Oh, I ordered some from Mid south yesterday too but then I found out someone has stolen my card info, again, so that card is going to get cancelled, I.e. no ammo. *swear word*

Ordered some 22LR from Midsouth this morning they say they expect it to be in tomorrow, damn I hope so I am sick of trying to beat the hoarders to the ammo!!!!!!!!

Just checked midsouth on the federal .22 525 round box. They changed the expected date to 4/17 where it did show today. Fyi

Well elephant dung!!!!!!!!!! this is nuts and that bad part is, the people in the whitehouse are laughing there ass's off why we ****ing panic and bum rush the ammo stores trying to buy that last box or for the most part buy all the ammo so the guy standing next to you cannot even have 1 ****ing box, Thanks you hoarding pricks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep watching online. I received some CCI SV recently and some Eley Match the other day that I ordered online. There's ammo out there. Sign up at various sites to be notified when ammo you want is in stock. There are also plugins for browsers that can alert you when something on a particular item page has changed, like going from out of stock to instock.
