I'm in this year. Is the match hotel the closest hotel to the range?

They're all close. The match hotel is a elephant dung hole. You can rent a house for less. Got to VRBO.com and look around.

Hey Jesse, you remember that one time we stayed at the Ozark match hotel and the sink above your room exploded in the middle of the night and soaked you guys and killed Chris' phone and then the hotel wouldn't pay for it?

I remember that pretty clearly. If anyone would like a recommendation in town that is not "The Inn at Grand Glaize". Feel free to message me for complimentary hotel concierge service. Act now and I will thrown in an autographed copy of my complaint response from Missouri state attorney general's office!

I was on their website ready to make reservations and thought I should ask first. Now I'm glad I did!
I will book elsewhere.
Thanks guys,
MC

Brownells United States Amateur and Junior National Championships Details
The 2013 Brownells United States Amateur and Junior National Championships will be held September 27-29 at the Midwest 3 Gun Range outside Fayette, MO.
The match will be scored in a Lewis Class system which means each division will be broken out into 3 classes, A, B and C class based upon the top, middle and bottom thirds of where everyone finishes in that class. The adults and the juniors will have their own respective championships.
There will be an A Class, B Class and C Class National Champion in each division and corresponding 2nd, 3rd, 4th places etc. What this means for the shooters is a chance to be the first Amateur National Champion in our sport. There will be 15 National Champions just in the amateur adult part of the competition. The junior side will be scored in the same Lewis Class System.

We have also decided to waive the registration fee for junior shooters as long as they are accompanied by a paying adult. We feel strongly that the future of the sport depends on young shooters getting every chance to compete and we understand the financial commitment it takes for a family to attend matches, therefore we want to help defer some of the expense by allowing the juniors to shoot for free.

This match is open to anyone not competing in the 3 Gun Nation Pro Series, thus distinguishing amateurs from professionals.

Our deepest Apologies,

The Ozark 3 Gun Staff

No. It was 2013 CMMG Midwest 3 Gun Championships, May 17-19,
The Amateur Championship will be Sept. 27-29 at the same range

I guess I will select option 1 because I don't know what 2014 Ozark will bring.....

My point was there were no 3GN Pros at the Midwest 3 Gun either. It's going to be the same match with easier targets, less shooting, no competition, and a random prize table.

Zzzzzzzzz

That's true, but the rest of us relative noobs got punked by the brothers Miller.

Anyway, I'm done writing checks to the current folks running the match.

Those guys finished 80% or so to the Pro Series guys at Rocky Mountain. Point being its the same level of competition as the first match so why make a big deal out of it being a championship for the Amatuer shooters?

That's a little harsh. I finished at 80% I think of Rustin at Surefire and both of those guys can run circles around me. But I agree, I don't think there's really any way to have an amateur match. What does amateur even mean in 3 gun? I don't get paid for this and I'd feel bad about signing up as am at the ProAm.

Those guys are getting old and the Rocky Mountain match was more physical than years past I'm told. Elder Miller was 78% of B. Thomoson. Younger Miller was 81% of J. Casanova.

I have yet to meet an "amateur" that doesn't want to shoot with Daniel Horner or Jerry Miculek. My first major I was squadded with Jerry. I was 53rd and was happy as hell!
