I got there around 8:30 this morning. I was able to park in the lot, but barely. I was smart enough to bring a folding chair with me because of my back because the line stretched from the door all the way to the back of the lot in the gravel area where the storage sheds are.
A guy in front of me was selling a Smith and Wesson AR with an ACOG knock-off sight for $2000. Another guy in front of him was selling 30rd USGI mags for $50 apiece. People were constantly walking past to get in the back off the line, and $50 mag guy bought 10 mags from someone for $20/apiece and added them to his $50/apiece collection. I didn't see him sell one, BTW. Someone challenged him saying he probably ought them for $5 apiece a while back, no response.
I cringed every time I heard the price of a basic AR at $2000 or more...heard one even going for $2900. Yikes.
Georgia Arms table was SLAMMED. They were the only people selling ammo at a reasonable price. I was there to buy .22lr subsonic from them, which I found, thankfully. Been looking for it for months. Anyhow, after about an hour, I was finally next in line at the register. The dude behind me accused the guy who was paying of stealing ammo, saying he had a bunch in his pockets. It turns out he did have ammo in his pockets, but it was Italian ammo from another seller he'd already paid for. I'm not doing the scene justice...it was pretty tense.
I went looking for .223 bullets for reloading but came up empty handed. I had to leave anyhow because my back was killing me, but unless you're dying to pay $30 or more for one magazine, don't waste your time.
I can't imagine how many people are going to be kicking themselves (and crying over the credit card bills) when this crap goes back to semi-reasonable prices and they can't even make half their money back selling all their supplies.
