I DONT REMEMBER WHO MADE IT BUT I GOT A 12 IN RAIL at PSA for $129. it has one rail all the way down and the end has 4 rails about 3 in long.

Thanks for the info. I found a deal on a smooth free-float that has been drilled and tapped for a bi-pod/sling stud at the end and I'll tap it for a couple short rails on the end if I need to.

It may not be a huge discount but if you create an account on Rainier Arms using your .mil you'll get discounts on everything you buy. I saved probably $40 when building my match upper which included a 12" Samson free float. I highly recommend the brand; no special barrel nut or tools required.
