I've shot both the plated and moly coated and found not much difference except that the plated keep my dies cleaner and the moly tends to rub off on my fingers.
I have used the extreme plated bullets with good results and the comment about the Lee factory crimp die taking out the bulge is right. The die solved my feeding problems in the xdm. I also use wst pouder and it seems to shoot a little softer than some others. Good luck.
I shoot a lot of lead bullets so I tent to clean after 2 to 300 rounds. As long as I am not shooting corrosive ammo I don't see the need to clean after every session. I do clean the pistol after every outdoor match because of the dirt. Also strip and clean the mags fairly often.

I have a crossbreed holster for my LC 9 and a Galco for my Springfield xds 9mm and both work well. I like them at about 4 or 5 o'clock. Seem to do better in the car that way.
Another match you might consider is the H & H match the 2nd Sunday every month. It starts at 6:30pm and is usually over by 9. It is a little warm in the summer but still fun.
