So I just got my OK SDA license in the mail. I had just put it in back at the end of april. So not only was it quick, but I also thought that you had to go to the sheriff to pick up the license, I just received it in the mail, so is that the new rule now, or am I special lol. The only thing I can think of is being prior military and submitting my dd214 with the application.

On a second note, anyone have opinions on what they would consider to be the best m&p 9c holster?

I don't remember for sure, it's been 10 years since I got mine, however if memory serves me correctly I just had to go to the sheriff's office for fingerprints and photo. I believe that they mailed my license to me. When I renewed, I just went to Walgreens and got a passport photo and all through the mail.

When I first got mine 9 years ago, I had to back to the sheriffs office for a second time for final paper work, and I picked it up there. I did a 10 year renewal 3 years ago and it was handled through the mail.

If you're interested in appendix carry I've wanted to sell my Archangel for a while.

is that IWB? I might be interested if so, was thinking of doing the old faithful you mold it, right now I have an uncle mikes for the meantime.

Google "appendix carry." It's IWB but it has a set of pros and cons in relation to 3-o'clock IWB carry.

I had to look up "SDA". In Kansas, we call it "CCH", Concealed Carry Handgun. Here in KS, the AG office has 90 days, and it's been taking 80-90 days lately. Sounds like you got it faster than that. KS CCH procedure is dumb for getting the license, I think. We have to attend an 8hr CCH course, an easy shooting test, fill out an app and have our fingerprints taken at the Sheriff's office, and then wait 90 days for an approval letter to take down to the DMV to get our CCH license, where we get a receipt with a temporary CCH, and the hard copy of our CCH is mailed to us a week or so later. My wife and I completed ours last summer.
For a comfortable and inexpensive IWB holster, take a look at the DeSantis Intruder. It's a hybrid leather/kydex holster that is pretty comfortable. I carry a G19 in one at the 4oclock position. I also have an Intruder for my M&P40 4.25 that I carry at the 3oclock position. I'm impressed with the holster's ability to conceal a full size handgun under a tshirt.

I have a crossbreed holster for my LC 9 and a Galco for my Springfield xds 9mm and both work well. I like them at about 4 or 5 o'clock. Seem to do better in the car that way.
