I'm getting started reloading. I know where I'm getting the equipment. What I need to know is what other items I need. I shoot a Glock 34 in 9mm, stock. Which powder, primers, bullets, and even brass. I know there is a lot of different answers to this question. If you have an answer, then tell me why you like this product. I want to start ordering now before the reloaded gets in.

If you ask around, there's probably a dude local to you selling once-fired range brass. Or you could just brass-whore yourself a few thousand 9mm at matches because no one cares about 9mm. Ask me about brass-whoring!

Check the "Loads that work" subforum for people's pet 9mm loads.

I slut, I mean scoop up 9mm brass and don't even have one.

There are usually good offers on brass on the Enos forum. I was using Precision Delta jacketed bullets when I shot 9mm from a Glock, and I would use them again when I go back to jacketed. WST is a good powder: it meters very well, burns clean, and is useful for a lot of calibers. That said, I used Titegroup to shoot 9mm because it was the most economical, and very consistent. Burns pretty hot though. After a moderate amount of shooting the gun will be hot. Any primers will do. I've used Federal, CCI, and Tula so far without any issues.

I would buy powder by the 8lbs jug, just because it's nice to be able to produce a lot of ammo.

I pickup range brass when I can. If you need to stock up, check out 'the shooters source'. He usually has good deals on once fired clean brass.

I use WST powder and Winchester small pistol primers. I was using the bayou bullets 147gr Molly coated bullets, but they became hard to acquire. I currently am using extreme bullets 147 gr copper jacketed bullets. I haven't had any issue with either bullet.

I too shoot a Glock 34. I would suggest getting a lighter (13lb or 15lb) recoil spring if you plan on shooting reloads.

Yeah, I'm the local brass slut at our range as well. 9mm is trading material.

I just started myself several months ago, and I got several things from midwayusa.com . Try to find primers at a local shop. If you order them online they charge you something like $25 haz-mat fee just to ship them to you. Thats not including the actual shipping fee. So you may pay $40 just in shipping alone. I'm using Berry's bullets in 9mm. I'm using winchester 231 powder. I picked up a pound of True Blue powder at a small shop in Savannah,Tn that I'm gonna try next. I also just learned that glocks bulge brass sometimes. the actually call it glock bulge. The lower 3rd of the case will swell and it will not chamber flush. I just got in a Lee factory crimping die and it fixed the bulge in my brass. I use a dillon 550b and just replaced that crimping die with the Lee die.It was very simple to swap out.I shoot my Glock 19 a lot so I was having 1 out of every 5 or 6 bulge. You can buy a case gauge to check for bulge, but I just broke down my Glock and used the chamber to police my brass till my new die came in.

I have used the extreme plated bullets with good results and the comment about the Lee factory crimp die taking out the bulge is right. The die solved my feeding problems in the xdm. I also use wst pouder and it seems to shoot a little softer than some others. Good luck.

Heads up a lot of people run WST in 9mm, I use it with for minor loads. WST is not associated with 9mm in majority of reloading manuals. It is a great recipe passed around from one shooter to the next so don't be alarmed if you cant find info in manuals

True dat! I called the factory customer service number and ran my load past them. They came back with a load so low that with wouldn't cycle the action. I guess they were afraid of something?
I've shot my load for two years now, and it has served me well. It is in a .40 though, not a 9mm
