Let me introduce myself

Hello all, I just joined the boards a couple of days ago, and have enjoyed reading the various discussions that I have come across. A little about myself, as long as I can remember, my brother and I were at the shooting range with my dad and we have been shooting ever since. I've never really gotten into hunting other than bird, I don't seem to have the patience for deer hunting. I've never done any competition shooting of any kind, just some plinking and skeet. I'm attempting to build my first AR and got in on the group buy for the LOKI lower. Hopefully I can add some sort of input to some of the threads in the future.

Welcome to BS. Just a fair warning. When you build your first AR, you are going to get a strange feeling that you need another one. Mark my words. LOL

Welcome to the forum.

I too didn't understand why my friends had more than 1 AR, now says the guy who after putting his first one together, now has another complete lower, parts for another complete lower (waiting on Nordic upper buy), and another stripped lower on the way (Loki group buy)

I've been infected.

Yea. Listen to these guys. The best thing you can do is give me the parts you have "I'll pay the shipping" and save yourself the future trouble. LOL

Thanks, for the welcome guys. Just got back from the gun show, man was that place crowded. A very kind forum member has offered to help me with my build so at least I'll have some expert assistance.

Welcome roadgear my advice if you see a match that sounds interesting just go ready to shoot. I have done one heartland match and three 3gun matches. Caution you will spend several hundered dollars after first match on equipment and another thousand hours building the next ar before the current one is complete this is called gun fever. Went on road trip to Wichta Falls for 3 gun last weekend got in truck with 4 guys I didn't know laughed the entire way down I had a great time. These boomer shooter guys are a great group.
