OKC Gun Club Multi-Gun

Just got some ammo - 4.99/box of 20 for monarch 7.62x39 at academy and 5.29/box 25 12g 7 1/2
Jesse I will probably have to borrow one of yours and a holster - unless Cyrwus is home tomorrow - my M&P should be out for delivery tomorrow. I'll just need something in 9 with a thin enough grip for me to reach the mag release

Really hate to miss this match and try out my new rifle and scope. But I went to the doctor today for bad pain in the wrist and diagnosed with tendonitis. I will see the doctor again next week for treatment, with the possibility of surgery. I won't be shooting for a while :(

I wonder if this will be the match when things start coming together for me. I can't wait to find out.

Cheers to that! I have been saying that for 2 years. I don't think I will ever quit saying it really.

Man that sux. I hope you hear good news from the doc. We will miss you bro.

As far as transitioning back to your first firearm. This is a very touchy subject with most range masters and clubs and the reason is that, in your example, are grounding a loaded gun that the RO has no way of ensuring it is safe, transitioning and back. In your example you say shotgun, pistol then back to shotgun. This is not a scenario I have ever seen at a match and I don't think it does anyone any benefit except the risk of a safety oops. I think we will go sequential as always and not take the chance. Catch up with me Saturday and I will tell you really why we don't do that.. :)

Yes, 9:00a start time. We will need the extra hour for JP and his trusty AK!
I thought this might be the case. Looking forward to saturday. I'd like to pick your brain a little more on this & explain a little better of what my line of thinking was.

But there is a big...huge differnce between your skills and mine. One day you may catch up. :) Ah, nevermind, I'm not even up to a level that I can joke like that, so forget that last comment.

I think every match we all get better just from a comfort and familiarization standpoint. Watching guys like KurtM run a stage you can see how relaxed he is it's all just second nature to him he's been at it so long. Time and more matches are our friend for sure.

I'm already relaxed. The AK47 on the playing board assures me that I won't be in last place :P :P :P

I owe JP a beer now if he places higher than me

Honestly, I hope he does well with it.
I'm sure he knows we're all just funnin'.
Maybe come sunday evening, It'll be JP doing all the talking.
But......probably not

The AK is going to do all the talking for me - I'll drink a beer while my gun sings!!
I guess it's a no go on hooking up with Mike to get your pistol? I'll throw the M&P9 Pro & gear in the bag along with the extra AK mags.

Wall I will attribute my success to you unless I only suck - in which I will assisgn all the blame to you as well! As for the wind - let the games begin and Tay you better practice your Kentucky Windage training - tracers are 14 a box online for your AR!

too dry for tracers

I will be monkeying with the sights on the M&P & sabotaging the mags tonight :D

Here is my answer to the wind.
Thanks to Jessie's offer I now have access to a shotgun so I can jump into this with both feet :)
So hopefully nobody will laugh too much since:
I get to shoot a shotgun that I have never shot before
I get to shoot my AR at long distance and in the wind that I have never done before
The pistol part, have done that before so that will be the only thing I have some faith in
Not even sure what class I will be in, but I plan on having some fun!
If you do laugh, laugh with me...........
