Dear Firearm-ophiles;

I am duly celebrating President's Day by sleeping in and going to shoot my shootin' guns. Got to outside after this and strike the colors.

I had a super-duper time at Heartland's Carry Gun shoot last night. Great fun. Good to see my old acquaintances and meet some new friends.

I learnt about this sight last night, so here I am. I have hopes for this sight. That other OK sight was the pits.

See you guys at the IPSC at OKCGC in March.

Tally ho!

The Duck n frenz

PS Stuff I like: making big holes in things with my .45, especially armadillos (very cathartic); all forms of shooting; dog training and handling; ducks and more ducks.

yeah i was the guy that RO on the last 2 stages if you were on my side (with jesse and david).. also i like your pic (although Labs are better!!!)

I was on the death (or deaf) squad last night (the other one with Shanon Conoley (sic?)).
I have met some Labs I liked, and eye-wiped a few others with my springers and goldens. ;) I like my current GR because he isn't a brutish oaf, weighing in at barely 60#. I could have named him "Smokestack Lightning", but that is too long of a name to say and does 'nt project as well as "Paddy".

I had such a great time last night, I decided to go back to the range today. AND, being the super observant scientist I am (ha-ha) did not notice the posted hours yesterday. And being ever so prepared decided to option at OKCGC when I pulled up to the closed HO. Alas, when I arrived at the OKCGC gate I realized my new badge (with combination) was in my skeet shooting bag at home. So I had a nice long drive from Stillwater to Edmond to Arcadia and back. I got to enjoy my new iPod and music at least.

On the way back I was astonished to see 3 coyotes not more than 30-40 yards from some cattle on the farm just north of the Cimarron River on I-35! I had quite the desire to brake quickly and apply rule .303. The rancher would have loved me but not so the Highway Patrol. Trouble seems to follow me like stable flies follow horses, so I quickly dismissed the idea.

I am heading out in a bit with my .243 and varmint callers to try for a bobcat, or at least coyotes. Those canids aren't minding the wind today and appear to be enjoying the sunshine, so I might as well too.

Tally ho!

Kevin
