My oldest son told me about this book : Profiles in corruption : abuse of power by America's progressive elite by Peter Schweizer.
I was so disgusted by the behavior of our "elected officials" used to obtain positions of power, influence, and yes, wealth that I couldn't finish the book.
The author has a reputation of careful, detailed, thouough investigating and finding information to present that is embarassing but true..so they can't sue him for the info he brings to light. If anyone has an interest in learning how those in power get there, and obtain power & influence, I'd suggest you should check out this book. It is easily found @ your local library. Both the libraries in my area had copies in their inventory.

It is said that you can't tell if you have an elevated blood pressure, that's why hypertension is considered the "silent killer"
As I was reading the above book, I was sure I could feel my blood pressure spiking.. and I've taken BP meds since I turned 40... (many yrs .ago)
I got so angry & disgusted reading about how political power can / is abused to "help" others.... , i.e. the chosen, get on the public gravy train, I had to stop reading it. I tried to go back to it, after cooling off for a day or so, and it seemed to get worse. Decided I wasn't going to read anymore of it ..it just disgusted me to realize how corrupt politicians have become. To think they call themselves "public servants".. only while trying to get elected.

Yes, yes, yes. I'm already am on the high BP wagon too. I see more than enough of the BS daily behind enemy lines. I don't even watch the news(propaganda).

Well, I'm a member of the high BP medication club too.....and the Diabetes club, etc. It's all under control. I have to be careful. I can feel it when something is off whether it's the blood sugar or blood pressure.
