Wonderful respect, too bad we don't treat our hero's like that here. Years ago LD and I adopted a vet who was a run away slave. He's buried in the same cemetery as LD's folks. Strangest part is that it's in a real biased town. I lived there for two years in early 2000's. I hope they have lightened up. Best part, the have a casino owned by a tribe in said town.

This is the grave of the Civil War soldier that we adopted. If you can enlarge the photo it says on the stone that he was a runaway slave.
