That GTO is a true classic American Muscle Car. I am guessing but 389 Tri-Power with a 4spd Munci ? Beautiful car.
That GTO had that GRRRRRR sound roaring in at the downtown show, it was a real crowed pleaser for sure.
I love a town that has Classic Car shows in the Downtown area it's GREAT!
I know that sound. Only a well built engine does that.

That sound now is only a memory for those who were there. Once in a while we get a chance to hear it again. You used to hear it at EVERY intersection, hamburger joint and drive-in. Kid today don't know what they missed out on.

I'm lucky enough to live and work around where Ford, Gm and Chrysler (no matter what name they use) plants are all located so still tons of car fanatics around. My town has 5-6 downtown car shows each summer and I'm guessing there usually between 500/600 cars every time. The one in July has an all day Main Street cruise included. The street is covered in hot rubber the next day every year. I'm convinced the city dues it just so they don't have to resurface the Main Street
