Our MD frequents Front Sight school in Vegas the match I think is their carbine shoot from the last part of the class they took with some hand gun added at the end, weather looking perfect sunny at 70 deg light wind they said 7-50 yds this time, I am constantly asking for 2-3 guns in matches as we all have some that need shooting.
We were sent some BEAR targets by mistake I have purposed we add a bear attack stage soon to a match shot with full house 44 mag ammo and a member offered to furnish it and handgun to anyone needing one, just maybe a 6 round part of a stage shot double action.
From what I gather on info so far it is looking like a double stack day Sat, if so I probably will shoot all 9mm. Also will be easier on ammo being all the same and not lose my 45 brass which I hoard all I can. Do yall ever have night matches? We used to but due to so many no shows they dropped them, I really liked those. Some yrs back I shot a 3 day 500 round one, 2 nights 1 day 200-200-100 (Sunday)
You chose the weapon to shoot at target, most all steel you choose ammo load 200 on person last day 100, run out bye! Light go out and no spare bye! Bring a steak to cook both nights! Walk through in daylight eat and shoot in dark, YOU choose weapon to fire no requirement for ammo each just 200 -200-100 on your person. Solve the problem about only rules, all mags picked up for you walk between yellow safety ribbons see a X meant you got target, NO RUNNING or DQ INSTANTLY no warnings there. Drop a firearm it is gone till match over for that day. Be safe solve problems, mostly all targets steel.
I shot my Para P14 - Rock River AR - FN SLP Shotgun. I finished about in the middle but 3rd with shotgun (the only thing I am still competitive in) Surgeries, old, reflexes and eyes & nerve damage from operations here. But win every match I shoot if enjoyment counts!
I learned fast a 200 round load up of ammo I needed a shoulder strap to my belt especially 5 mags of 230 gr 45 and pistol, carbine and shotgun ammo was carried on front chest, ONLY 2 firearms were shot each day.
Friday pistol carbine
Saturday pistol shotgun
Sunday shotgun carbine
You choose what to carry and ammo loadout just had to shoot all in 3 days.
After 1st day used my web belt with ALICE suspenders and was so much better, 100 rounds of shotgun and 100 556 is a load with 1 gun on sling/body and hold the other. Weapon break and you cant fix it with what you have on you sorry, hope you have enough ammo for the other one.
