I call them stock tanks here most do so, lots of hogs in that country you mentioned now, one day this week not sure which I am going to stock up on primers again $29/1000m + tax, went up some.
Not sure of how much shooting in that area but just don't know info there. Suppose to rain all day Wed so no shooting.
Gosh been so long since been there, both sets of grandparents pretty close to each other, can't remember name of one of the town's outside Mineral Wells, one was Lipan, uncle lived in Santo, oh well. Yeah stock up man, good shootin weather coming up, been raining here yesterday and today, supposed to clear up Thursday I hope, wettest winter on record these parts. Used to rain Friday thru Sunday but switched to thru the week thank goodness. One other thing I remembered one of the times I was there we went to rodeo in Weatherford and Larry Mahan, he was national champion bare back bronc rider, had one leg in full cast and still rode, full 8 seconds, pretty cool! Well load up lots, let you know how weekend goes
Will do so on week, I am still dreaming of shooting that 9mm carbine again but really looking into next match 3rd Sat March all handguns then the problem of which one!
Good hard dry ground probably a 1911 any mud Glock 17 as to losing brass there, we will never run out of 9's here.
I will say again I never dreamed as much as some shoot here that so few reload as to compared to years back almost all did so that really shot a lot.
In the early 2000's I was shooting 2-3 matches a week, 2 indoor at night and a Saturday somewhere under 2 hrs driving 1 way, the crowds were double of what they are now also back then much older, the 1911 was king! Then all changed.
You really enjoy that little carbine for sure! Yeah I probably should have started reloading but up until about 1 1/2 years ago we would work 50-60 hours a week, lots of Saturday's and as I got older and the ticker got worse just didn't have the energy to add anything else. I work for one of the most successful big small asphalt contractors in the upstate, we don't do interstate work, night paving and such but we probably pave 50 subdivisions a year and probably 75% of the commercial and industrial work in the upstate, we never catch up so worked a ton before I decided to slow it down, missed a lot of Saturday matches working. I hate your matches have dried up a little, here on the rise like crazy, my range has IDPA, steel challenge, USPSA has been added and pcc has replaced 3 gun, there are two 3 Gun matches every month elsewhere, Greenville has CPSL and 2 gun every month, Anderson has IDPA and 2 Gun every month, Spartanburg has 2 USPSA matches and steel Challenge every month, Toccoa has IDPA once a month, it's an hour away, the longest trip to a match, plus 2 indoor IDPA matches indoors 2nd and 4th Monday night plus various 22 rim fire stuff. It's mind boggling the choices. I've cut it down to 4-5 a month or I'd go broke, good to have options I guess but keeps me busy between matches and the grandkids. Kinda living the dream, long as the ticker don't give out I'm good. I'm sure won't be long will cut to 2-3 and spend more time with all the kids

I would like to do 2 good ones a month but I do try to shoot every week if not to muddy, flood today here though this week is out for sure, hopefully load and restock primers trips. I also fish a lot here stripers only.

Tomorrow a restocking components day here mostly primers, I have seen already much less inventories in stock than a few weeks ago. Except the very high price stores. I will be looking for some in the high $20's/1000 or 5000/cs discounts

You think fear of elections coming up with gun grabbers out there driving prices up?

YES SIR I do so and many are like me and do not wish to wait, do it while I can I think. So many waited last time and paid for it big time I have already called and checked to see if instock for tomorrow and hold them for me. 3000 large and 6000 small with another 1000 to pay back a friend. If we can get a discount for amount will go 20000 for both of us. Powder I have good supply, plenty of brass and casting metals. When we got out of the retail store I took components as my part.

Well you are being proactive and that's good! These people are reason to be proactive, hard to believe it's this bad, or the potential to be bad. I have a good bit(factory lol)but gonna get more, have three complete lowers just gonna pick up those inexpensive PSA complete uppers for 220. Can't be to conservative with all the political crazies out there, something shouldn't have to worry about in the so called golden years, this is America not Australia

Between the Corona virus and Democrats everything from primers to hand sanitizer, some of the people I work with are goin crazy stocking up on everything! Media madness! I'm pretty dang confident President Trump gonna get re elected unless massive vote tampering, just goes to show how scary the socialism talk is, son as PSA puts those uppers with free shipping I'm scooping them up! Add to ammo every month. We have a PSA store here in Greenville but they hardly ever have the sale stuff they have online in the store plus traffic on the road store on is bad as downtown Atlanta or Dallas

The Democrats need a stronger candidate than is currently on the field, or I agree with you, Trump will get re-elected.

I have a friend who is literally investing in primers, he did the same under obamma times and made quite a profit. I think many learned then to not wait.
Not kidding any here he took 75000 primers to the Dallas Gun Show on Sat am with table for both days and was home before supper all sold out and took Sunday off as no more left to sell. All ordered and prepaid well in advance and doubled his investment.

that is crazy!!! 75,000! That is really amazing, I try not to panic buy, I like to call it buying for unforeseen circumstances! But you can't be to careful and for someone like you if you have powder and primers you are set, lead and brass plentiful on the range

I just enjoy it to much for my own good! We shoot every 3rd Sat here and I have a problem for sure in April as it also is PCC month added, our match and a breakfast/fishing trip with close friends on the same day both rescheduled 2 times already, the same distance from home half hour! I cant do both but still have not decided which with let weather decide it for me I guess I want to do both very bad. Especially with the carbine day included so if not great weather shoot, good weather fish best solution I have come up with. It will probably be 8 stages 140 rounds or so, if it turned out to be 2 gun that would do it for sure. Our matches used to be very much more involved as to a 2nd or 3rd gun added.
Our member cost is only $5 each $15 non members and used to include lunch until cook retired! We still have 1-2 a year with food included. Our championship match is always a 2-3 gun with food and prizes, also a team match by luck of draw not picked at all. Always a 1911 - 45 day there for sure 100%, it will be again to. Just shoot them so much better. In the past we had some 50 yd steel stages for handgun in them, PAST I said no more darn it.

To make April worse both the lake and match are traveling the same roads mostly, pure torture there.

Man that is crazy! Get all you can get, I'll get back later on this evening, on a huge job, worked way harder than a 65 year old needs to yesterday and had to withdraw from match to work today

We sold those primers back then for $50/1000 high yes but we had any kind wanted all the same price.

We got many negative comments on our pricing but said why did you not order any, or front the funds for them? No answers back, so either buy or thanks for your interest. I bet we could have sold more maybe double.

Well not like you went wayyyyy overboard like some did on 22's a few years back and probably could have doubled. The funny thing today is the shortage of hand sanitizer, people freakin over corona virus, local Dollar General out, stopped by to grab couple bags of popcorn and some lady came in askin if they had any, girl at checkout said no, she was working my herself and this lady wanted her to go through the truckload of stuff that came in today and got pissed she wouldn't do it, anyway, I appreciate you staying vigilant with your supplies, you never know! Had interesting morning, me and a buddy meet a master class USPSA and IDPA shooter at the range today for informal lesson, we been struggling last 6 months or so, told him we would pay whatever for his time, first thing he wanted to discuss once we set up targets, he wanted nothing, someone had spent some time with him early on and he said I'm just paying it forward, giving back, apparently shooting sports has opened a lot of doors for him so he just wanted to help, of course we will do something cool for him when not expected in a few weeks but I thought that was cool and being able to see a stage the way a master class shooter sees it was really informative, how we looked at the stage and how he did totally different, lots of little things we never thought of so productive interesting morning here, very cool!

Our electrical supply had hand sanitizer in gallons yesterday so far eggs are not available unless you go to chicken farmers locally here, found everything else, loading tomorrow 45's or more 9mm not sure which yet, wondering if our 16 lbs of powder will ship now? If not We are very good on supply here on components and I have factory ammo .. No issue there at all.

That is awesome, I'm very good on factory ammo as well all calibers, toilet paper ‍♂Non existent but we saw writing on the wall and added to what we had, I keep lots of extra paper towels, tp, laundry det etc anyway but hand sanitizer nowhere to be found, good for a month on groceries and still can get food, sounds like w

Sounds like you are good to go, I hope your powder ships, trucks still rolling so fingers crossed for you, I don't know how many rounds that will load but sure it's a bunch! I've got a lot of 22's but ordered 5000 rounds last night, might start practicing some with those just to preserve 9's, never done that before, practicing with 22's vs 9's but have a conversion Glock, Advantage Arms I think and it runs very well, 22's basically still same price, shame you are 2000 miles away or I would load you down with 9 and 45 brass, I gathered for several years thinking I would eventually get into reloading but sadly didn't. We are truly in weird times for sure!
