High Plains Shotgun Challenge 2012

Looks like you run a shotgun almost as well as you do your rifle, Austin. Good shooting.
Did I spot a breaking of the 180 at about 3:25???

Nah. Those boundary lines weren't laid out square. They angled a good bit to make you travel a farther distance around to the last part of the shooting area. Can't really see it on the vid. Just about everyone in my squad shot it similar.
 
Kurt and I are done holding the match,........ we made an offer to Jesse Tischauser that if he wanted to I'd sell him the name for a dollar. Make him a good deal on the targets and other stuff that Kurt and I cannot use for our classes. I really do not need 120 or so plates for my own personal practicing. I think Jesse thought I was joking, but after the announcement at the prize table he may have realized I was serious, so we'll see. El Jefe retardo could be the next HPSC match director

Trapr - I can honestly say that BoomerShooter.com is trying to figure out the best way to continue this match - you have created an amazing match and I know lots of people want to see it go on. Hell I'd send you $1.00 if you want ;-)

I know you're kidding, but to shed some light on this.
Trapr was busy running the match & did not RO any stages.
That said......
This is a major match with hand picked RO's.
It isn't like a local match where anyone whose not shooting can run the timer.

Believe me, they would've hated doing it but he would've been DQ'd if needed.

I haven't had a chance to watch the video yet but I will because I need more Semi Pro tips:)

If the muzzle direction in question was on stage 12 we had a moving 180 on that stage. It as a natural terrain stage much like a big 3 gun match where the 180 moves with the shooters. The last array of targets actually broke the 180 that was used for the rest of the stage. That being said there was purposely nobody allowed in the area near that target array and the shooters were told about the 180 being more of a 190-200 on that side of the stage. I think I only had to use the cautionary "muzzle" for one shooter all weekend.

I need a MD. I will be traveling to around 15 major matches next year and probably more with 3 Gun Nation ramping up the Pro Series matches. I will be taking over 30 days of vacation this year for my shooting. I can't commit to being the person responsible for something that takes this much more of my time without 4-5 other committed people.

jesse, can you start another thread explaining exactly what you would need to make this happen?? that way we can truly see if this is feasible or not... I think this can be done, but we need to be organized, and instead of just talking about it in this thread, lets make a thread with a checklist or even have a F2F meeting after there is a "committee"..
