Hi All,
I'm an aspiring competitor looking forward to learning more and getting out there and shooting. I'm not new to guns; grew up hunting, 14 year military vet, recreational shooting,etc. But I'm very new to the competitive scene as in I am only in the building up my equipment stage right now. This stuff is darn expensive, so it's taking me a minute or two to get everything but I'm having a blast just getting everything built up. I'm not getting too wrapped around the axle on gear, pretty much built up a list of what I want then executing whenever I save the money. I'm sure I'll be forever tweaking it for years to come. Any way, I look forward to chatting with the Boomer Shooter community, so far I am impressed with the good spirited dialogue and eagerness to lend a hand and help out fellow shooters.

Welcome aboard! Don't worry about getting every bit of equipment before you shoot a match, just show up and we'll loan you what you need. (Well, except for ammo)

I'll back up that statement. Let us know in advance that your coming to a match, and want to try some things out before you buy, and its a good chance that somebody will take you up.

Thanks All. By the look of things, most all of you reside in OK. Must be a great place. Maybe I should look into moving.. LOL. Wish I was closer to meet up with you at the ranges.

I'm on my phones mobile so I can't see where your from, but we do have members from all of the states around Ok, as well as members from Washington St, New Zealand, and others.
Our purpose is to let new shooters have information on the types of competition that is out there, and let them know what they need to start in competitions, provide support in reloading, and firearms info for those that just like to plink.
Some of the best shooters in the country post here, and offer free advice to new and not so new shooters.
