Depends on what your using it for.Matt Rigsby said:Yes you can use the bolt carrier. You just won't have a forward assist option, but do you really want to jam in a round that's not chambering properly in the first place? I know I don't.
So does the forward assist still hit the side of the lmos bolt and just not do anything... or will it not go deep enough to hit it period? I am going to order one from you soon tony and was going to plug the hole of the forward assist but if it wont go deep enough to hit the bolt then there is no use in doing anything to the forward assist but leaving it alone... just wonderingWall said:the area where the forward assist would be on the JP low mass carrier is reduced to make it low mass
I just didnt want to leave it on there if it would put dents in the side of the bcg or something, i am not the only person who shoots my rifle...Matt Rigsby said:It won't go deep enough, but why are you gonna be slapping the forward assist after knowing it won't do anything?

Not me baby. I went all fancy and bought the plug kit.Wall said:I would bet that 90% (maybe more) of people that have upgraded to a low mass BCG have left the Fwd assist parts remaining in their receiver.
