Walking Dead Multi-Gun (Night Shoot) Dallas, TX. Oct. 27/28

There will be steel targets. You will shoot no farther than 150 with your rifle. We will have some ambient lighting to silhouette the long distance targets. We will take care of our shooters and make this a winnable event!

Standard 3 gun rulles with a few changes. The shotgun info is part of the standard rules (we simply did not omit them)

Cool! Sounds like y'all have it figure out.

We shot out to 100 at the Crimson trace night match with out weapons mounted lights. I had a TRL-1 and a crimson trace light and it was tough to see. I was shooting at shadows and I fortunately hit them.

That was not the case when we used the match supplied night vision scopes on the Colt .308's at 200 yards. We were shooting at the space inbetween a couple of glow sticks. The majority of the shooters failed to hit the targets because they couldn't find them. Not much fun!
 
Yes sir. We understand and have addressed the issues with a night shoot. We want this to be fun! Every stage will be winnable! We have L.E.D. lighting for the distant stuff.

Just got my first shipment of illumination tools in today.

Are we going to be able to add/ remove lights and sights as the match progresses or must it be all on the gun from the get go?

Also can we start with our lights on or must they be off before the beep?
 
More stupid questions from a zombie match newbie...

Will we need a sling for our rifles or our chains saws?

Will I need my tactical tomahawk, throwing knives, chain saw or war clubs?

No slings needed!

Pistol and rifle light must stay mounted for the entire match. We like how thorough you are Jesse. DONT STRESS it though. FYI the Surefire X200, X300 or new X400 handgun light is the winner on handguns! FYI these will also fit in most holsters made for Streamligfht TLR1.

We will have super bright LED headlamps available for sale at the match! I will sell them at dealer cost ($30). 200 lumens, focusable! Even has a strobe setting if you want / need to disorient the zombies!
Be sure to bring / BUY a headlamp AND a handheld light (or two). BRING EXTRA BATTERIES FOR EVERYTHING!

DSG Arms (one of our sponsors) has a great selection of cost effective Kydex holsters that accept lights, double pistol mag & AR mag holders!
