Hi,
Doing my own building and owning a Bridgeport Mill...
I'm fully capable of doing this procedure, but... (won't call it an upgrade?)
See no real reason for it, with a properly working 1911.
There is just not that much torque needed to push down the Disco in operation.
The other thing is, if JMB thought it was needed or necessary would have done it to begin with!
A properly in spec and fitted, and polished Disco, should be all that is needed.
No doubt others disagree.
