+1 on Mazda 3 being expensive to fix. Got rid of mine for an Accord. If I was doing it all over I'd probably go for the extra cargo space of a CRV or Subaru.

I once rented a newer Focus with whatever "automatic manual" they have, and when the thing shifted it sounded like the gears were grinding themselves to dust.Bryan Hoover said:New Focus transmissions are crap!
