As hard as it for me to get ticked off, I am today. This incident cannot be explained away by a simple misunderstanding plea. The management, as it were, chose to pit the customers in the middle of a situation instead of comming down, in person to evaluate and have a conversation with the ones running the match. Rob, Jerry and Kelly are stand up guys may not address the details in this venue, but someone should be made aware of what went on. Poor management, managers and owners should take full responsibility for the actions displayed today. The situation prior was explained away with "it was just a misunderstanding" Only two or four people actually knew what went down and USSA was cleared because it did not affect many people, yet. Today 37 people were affected, and it will be hard for me to spend any more of my dockets there in the future. Roger D. She and David will for sure be addressing the situation.
I wasn't there, so I have even less of a clue than everyone else, but it seems like saying **** IT SHUT IT DOWN without even talking to the match director first was a little heavy-handed.Southpaw said:Please read this post with as much of an open mind as you can. This is not USSAs official answer it is mine. I am the match director for 3 gun at USSA. Today I arrived ( apparently right as this debacle happened). I spoke to several of you at the back of the bays and was very concerned about the events occurring. I went strait to the owner and requested a meeting as to what exactly happened. I was accompanied by Jeff Hughes MD for Proam. This meeting did grow shortly there after with several Shooters from the match, thank you for the input as well, with the level of anger people had Im certain from the events... You were all diplomatic and professional. I know each of you and would have expected nothing but that from you as you always handle yourselves that way... The issue Bays 13 -17 were assigned to the match... Bays 13 and 14 were not used bays 15,16,17,18 and 19 were used... members arrived at 18... My question, at what point was management made aware of empty bays 13 and 14????Rob, Kelly, Jerry can someone tell me this... I was still having a discussion concerning this with Mgt and ownership at 4:30 today and this is the first they seemed to be aware of it, Realizing that I had 11 and 12 reserved that pretty much left only 2 unassigned bays on the back bays. the answer I recieved was that had they known these were open for members there would have been no issue... But without knowing that a match was impacted to the result of 3 of 7 stages being unavailable ... its easy to look back and say what should have been done but before we get the nails and cross out is it possible no one told them they changed the bays???
Did ussa shut it down? Or did the MD say **** you I'm not moving the stage(s)?poopgiggle said:I wasn't there, so I have even less of a clue than everyone else, but it seems like saying **** IT SHUT IT DOWN without even talking to the match director first was a little heavy-handed.
