USPSA Level 1 Range Officer Training Class at Alpha Trianing Academy

I heard runoff if a class possibly being offered over in Ft. Smith. Would anybody be interested in doing that?
 
I'd prefer to skip the hotel fees if we can set this up local.
 
So as of right now we have 11 interested in the class?

Same goes for me. We could drive out and back it's less than a 3 hour drive. Obviously Tulsa is a tweaked spot for all parties. That might work out. I'll see if I can contact the gentleman in Ft. Smith.

I might be up for Tulsa or Ft Smith depending on the date.
 
the Arkansas Section will be hosting a Level 1 Range Officer class at CASA on April 2 and 3. Saturday will be classroom work at Larry Wood's office at Maulmelle, just outside of Little Rock. The class will continue at CASA on Sunday morning, and shoot the CASA match for the stage part of the class. The RO class is a great way to learn a lot more about the Sport in a short period of time. The cost is only $40. If you are interested, please contact Tom Loyd at [email protected] and let him know.

I just got some info on a class that is being held in DFW area on the 22nd and 23rd of this month. I think you can still sign up but need to do so ASAP.

USPSA RO Class in DFW Area

I am going to forward this thread onto John Bent and Matt Johnson at OKCGC and Mike Seeklander at USSA as well as our Area 4 Director Phil Strader and see what I can do about getting a class lined up for us in the near future.
 
I just sent an email to USPSA to get the procedures first. I want to get this thing setup without putting all the work off on the guys that already do so much to runour excellent local matches.
 
Here is what USPSA told me.

I need just a little more information from you and then I can put this out there to see if any instructors are available. I need to know:
 
Preferred and alternate weekend for the class (March is booked pretty solid, so I would avoid that if possible)
Club contact name, email address and phone (This will be the person people contact about class questions)
Host club name
Class city location

Since March is almost full and I work 20/7 in April and May I am gonna shoot for May 28-29, June 11-12, or June 18-19.

Let me know what you think of those dates.
 
I'm good with any of those dates, or even Feb. if thats an option.
 
They can't supply an instructor until March and it's almost full. Since I'm organizing this mess I choose later times because I am ultra busy at work in March and April. I also worked around all of the nearby major matches.

We need to have 20 shooters interested and willing to pay $40 as myself or the host club has to lay down $800 for the class. Plus we gotta pay for the instructor to stay at a hotel or I can put him up at hacienda Tischauser.

Please everyone let me know if you are interested in this class and are willing to throw down $40 for sure and possibly $60 to get someone here to teach us.
 
The only date that won't work for me is June 18-19, due to a wedding I have to attend. But, any other dates work and the 40-60 dollars is not a problem.

That's fine, I'm good with whatever dates everyone else wants.
I don't think June 18-19 will be a popular choice since that's be Father's Day weekend.
So is that $60 total or $100 total.
 
Both my son and I are interested. Hopefully whatever date you ultimately choose will work for one or both of us. We are out of Tulsa but don't anticipate any issue attending in the OKC or Ft. Smith area. But of course, would prefer a Tulsa location.
 
I am going to talk to John at the OKCGC club match on February 5th to see if we can lock something in stone. It will liely be in June as the OK Sectional Match is now the one weekend in May that I had available. June 11-12 or June 18-19.
