USPSA Level 1 Range Officer Training Class at Alpha Trianing Academy

Anyone know when the next RO class will be? This is something I need to get done.

I asked John Bent about one at OKC gun club and he said it was not likely until the Spring at the earliest since they just had one this past Spring.

I would like to see Shannon set one up at H&H or maybe the folks at Oil Capital?

I'm interested in taking an RO cert training course as I'm sure others are as well.
Are there any scheduled? If not, who do we speak to about getting one setup?

I am interested as well especially since I won't be able to shoot an actual match for about 3-4 months. We should talk to Shannon about having one indoors this winter at H & H.

Shannon's response:

I can't really schedule one- they're done by NROI (National Range Officer Insitute- a part of USPSA). John Bent from OKC gun club had enough interest that he was able to schedule one here last Spring, but I don't think there are any plans to have another one any time soon. The last class had about 20 people in it- I'm not sure how many they require to schedule one but I can find out from John this weekend.

Also, although I recommend that anyone who is interested take the class, you don't have to be an officially certified RO to RO or run the timer at the local matches, so if you guys aren't already, feel free to as long as you know the range commands and the roles of the RO (watching for safety issues, scoring etc.)

Talk to John and Shannon about it more this Saturday. From what I remember after asking John about it it just requires the host club to request a trainer and a certain number of trainees and schedules to jive for the trainer and the club.
