Turn in your neighbor & get a cash reward!

I wish you luck escaping the insanity. The laws here are not ideal, but we (or at least I) welcome new gun owners who can join the fight to make them better.

If I have a neighbor that behaves erratically and flaunts firearms, I'm going for the $500 bucks..............It might stop another senseless killing..........In these troubled times, people that behave badly and own firearms should be watched..........For one thing it makes us the responsible gun owners look bad when irresponsible people are seen in public behaving badly with firearms.

I think they are hoping people will turn in everyone they have a gripe with that may have pre-ban magazines or anything that looks scary so they can harass them. The pre-ban are now technically illegal now too but my understanding is that you have until next January to get rid of them. In the mean time you can't use them at least not in the open. They have backed off the 7rd mag limit and now are changing it so you can still buy ten round mags but still can legally only load seven rounds into one which is just lunacy. With that logic why not allow any capacity and say just put 7 rounds in it? Of course we all know the whole thing is lunacy anyways because criminals don't obey the laws. These restrictions only affect those who choose to abide by the law. Which is now going to be a much higher number I am afraid because I do not know a single person who has any intention of telling Mr Cuomo what rifles they own. Then there are those like me that are simply going to finally bug out of NY.

This is also the blog where I found the picture of the LEO with the EOTECH mounted backwards on his patrol rifle:

Hahaha I didn't want to believe it so I Googled it:

Eotech_zps0ab9d171.jpg

The cop behind him with the shotgun has his finger on the trigger. The backwards-Eotech cop is exercising a little trigger control, but his safety looks to be off.

No excuse for the optic fail.

Define "behaving erratically" and "flaunting firearms".

I live in town limits so I can't discharge firearms at my home, but there's nothing against me taking my guns outside for a photo or something as long as I stay on my property and am not pointing them at anyone, obviously.

Who cares?

People that have sworn an oath to defend the US Constitution care about anti-Civil Rights activities from gun grabbers and people LIKE YOU that conspire and collude to help them criminalize us because we dare use our Civil Right.

We all know what George Washington and Thomas Jefferson would do with someone like you. They did it plenty of times and every single time it was well-deserved.

Use your imagination, tyrant. You are a threat to Liberty.

Armaborealis, I see your point, I was thinking primarily about the City dwellers.
You're correct, Upstate Ney York is really a different planet almost.
The entire state of New York has a leadership problem.
I wonder what the penalty is for submitting a false report like that?
What did they call this in the 60's? civil disobedience? as in civilians? or as in civility?
There would need to be some kind of an education campaign on the correct way to submit a false report without being caught.
One problem with conservatives is that they tend to at least try and obey the law.
Liberals rely on this.

Don't submit false reports. Go read my second post in this thread for a bunch of ideas for reports which you can truthfully make. You KNOW, 100%, that the NYS cops will have illegal magazines for their sidearms and assault/patrol rifles (SAFE has no police exemption, it was drafted so poorly and quickly). So, google some police departments that are excited about vigorously enforcing the law like the one that arrested Nathan Haddad (Jefferson County, I believe) and call them in. "The Jones Household has a bunch of high cap mags for pistols and rifles. I suspect they have an assault weapon (the officer's patrol rifle) in the home too."

You can reasonably suspect that other people have stuff that is illegal. For example, it is reasonable to suspect that a liberal media anti-gun pistol permit holder has an illegal high cap mag. Don't say, "I KNOW that Joe Smith has illegal stuff." Say, "I'm AFRAID that Joe Smith has illegal stuff. I know that he has a pistol (he has a pistol permit) and I am afraid that he has a big magazine. That scares me because Governor Cuomo said that nobody needs more than seven shots to kill a deer." That is 100% truthful.

The other option is to troll the snitch line. NYS has a "one party consent" wiretapping law. That is, if you (one part) consents to recording the conversation you can record the call. I guarantee they are recording!

So, call them up and ask dumb and/or offensive questions.
- "Is there a bonus for reporting military members or veterans? What if they turn out to have PTSD? Do you think veterans should be allowed to own guns? I'm so scared of veterans, aren't you?!"
- "So, do I get more money for turning in a Jew/Muslim/Christian Conservative? After 9/11 (or Oklahoma City, or whatever) do you think those people should be allowed to have guns?"
- "Do you think it would be racist for me to report a brown/white/black/white/purple person? Do you think those people should have guns? I'm so scared!" "
- "So will I get paid extra if I turn in extremist Tea Partier Republicans? Why not? They oppose all sorts of awesome liberal policies and are bad people, right? Don't you agree that the Governor's foes should be disarmed so he can get on with the people's work? FORWARD! HOPE & CHANGE!"
- "So I know a woman that owns a gun and between you and me -- just guys, right -- we all know that's concerning. Don't you agree? Do you think women are responsible enough to own guns?"

The idea is to get the state employee on record saying something dumb, bigoted, and offensive about a group. That's not illegal either, and you're not making a false report because you're just asking questions. The Republicans got the Democrats on record saying all sorts of dumb offensive BS about women, veterans, and other groups in Colorado (and in DC) and actually scuttled some gun control bills in Denver over it. I guarantee some dumbass state employee mouthbreather has a chance of saying something stupid on tape, which you can then send to conservative media for exploitatation.

A third option would be to just tie them up by asking questions about SAFE Act. Pull up your favorite gun manufacturer's site and slowly describe a firearm to the guy on the line to determine if it is legal or not. For example, call about the Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle which could easily be confused with an assault weapon as it has a muzzle device and takes mags.

Obviously contacting your state legislators (on issues like Constitutional Carry, Restaurant Carry, and so on) and your federal legislators (regarding the awful bills pending in the Senate now) is the priority. But if you have time and energy I suggest trying out trolling New York's stasi snitch line. I just made a call tonight and had a great two minute chat trolling the guy.

I am not encouraging anyone to do anything illegal. However as New York State reminds us all good citizens have an obligation to pass any and all information to the right authorities. It is the State Police's job to investigate and confirm/deny the tips. It is our job as concerned citizens to provide tips with whatever information we have available. A good "law and order" conservative should be all over this! :D

I hope you're joking. Otherwise, feel free to sign up with Organizing for America. I hear Uncle Joe will give new recruits a free SEIU T-Shirt after ratting out their first victim and a free Jr. Stasi Badge after three good tips!

If you think someone is brandishing a firearm at you with criminal intent then the only appropriate steps are to (1) retreat if you can do so safely or end the threat if you can't and (2) calling 911 to clean up the mess (or contain the threat). Profit motive does not enter the equation, your concern for innocent human life should be the dominant concern. If you are truly concerned that your neighbor has mental illness issues that don't rise to the level of an imminent threat justifying a 911 call, then you can call NICS for a temporary hold and engage with their family to support them as they get help from a chaplain/pastor, counselor, or mental health professional.

Please google "judenrat" or "US Code of Conduct Article Three" or "thirty pieces of silver" (it being Easter weekend and all) if this concept is unclear. :?

My brother in law is retiring next month and moving back to the Chas. area after spending 20+ years in NYC.....I also have a friend that lives in up state NY and is home sick and I don't expect he and his family will be there too long........I have visited NYC many times and was always happy to leave...................But there are many that love it there.

I would think they would have their hands full if everyone that saw a cop called the line and reported them.

I'm glad my neighbors are far enough away that I can't see any of them. I would hate the idea of one calling a snitch line, because he was a d!ck and couldn't mind his own business.

Not just asshole neighbors, but there are so many uninformed people out there, even Pro-Gun owners. I'm sure you saw what happened when a member posted a short barreled shotgun on here. It got called "illegal" by someone in the firearms community. What is someone who is scared of guns going to think?
