Top Shot Season 2

The only person more, or as, annoying as Jay is the Air Force cop that they keep referring to as a 'sniper'.

Every time he opens his mouth I want to punch him...and he was playing air guitar with the M1A at the starting line for crying out loud. His only saving grace right now is being fit and able to shoot.
 
I would like to see an episode that was all black powder and make the elimination challenge be shot with a matchlock rifle. oh yeah and jay sucks.

That would be cool!!! Have them load and fire(accurately) 3rds in one minute(Paper cartridges) with 1863 springfield rifles standing. Targets no closer than 100yds!!

Elimination round; 7rds out of a Nagant revolver shot double action only 25yds at an 8" plate.

Those guys would blow themselves up. Most of them can barely use a glock.
 
I'm pulling for Jayme, the Navy rescue swimmer, since he is also an Instructor In Training with Project Appleseed. He said his Appleseed training definitely helped him in the tryouts for the show. He's in Afghanistan now, but he posts on the Appleseed forum. Here is the thread: http://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=20065.30 He can't say too much about how the competition went, due to his contract with the History Channel, but his commentary about the episodes after they air is interesting.

He is the one who went to the elimination challenge with Athena. He said that in that episode, they each had a different .38 pistol, and that each pistol shot differently and none shot straight. That's pretty tough... just having to pick up a random pistol, not knowing how it's sighted, and engage those fairly small targets. I think they should have made them shoot DA with those things... that would be much more realistic for a service revolver. That being said, it really was dumb for Athena not to use SA when she could have, being that it is a competition and all.

And WTF is with them using the M1A at 75 yards and 100 yards? That is a Rifleman's rifle. Those should have been 4 and 500m targets, or at least smaller targets. The targets looked at least as big as a human head... they seemed to go pretty quickly (as they should have, being 6-8 MOA targets). That one was more about getting to the position quickly and controlling your breath/muscles after running, I suppose.

I do hope they do more longer distance shooting than they did last season. They just had that one elimination challenge with the Remington 700s out to 600 yards last season, and other than that, I don't think they took a shot over 200 yards. It would be interesting to see how they deal with elevation come-ups and wind with some longer range stuff.
 
I'm not sure about Maggie. At the nomination range she chose Jay in the tie breaker because he wasn't a good fit on the team. Then after he whooped Jermaine she crawdaded and said Jay was really helping her out, and that he was a solid team player??

Jay will be in it till the end of the season for the ahole drama he brings.

Also, a glock 17 with 2 full mags, that's 34 rounds and those 2 guys managed only 13 hits between the 2 of them.

We need a Top Shot Okie........
 
I cant wait to watch them run some Razorcats race guns. To bad Athena got sent home before here expertise
 
Oh my dear lord....Jay Lim is the biggest douche ever. If you blow off 3 guys who know how to rock a handgun at speed, that are trying to teach you something then please go crawl in a hole and STFU.

He said don't change the fundamentals just show me how to shoot faster and more accurately.......I'm pretty GD sure that means learn how to grip the fing gun correctly.

Geez freaking lord....how did he beat jermaine? Is this show totally rigged?
 
i am fully convinced we need an oklahoma top shot, no house, no drama, just challenges... i mean how fun would it be to have a bunch of guys shooting plates like that last challenge..
