Timney Targa 2 Stage

Had to shelve my Targa, would not allow AXTS short throw safety to engage/disengage. Back to the Geissele S3G

I like the crispness of the rifle. The difference between the first and second stage is absolute. That's the only way to describe it.

The break on the second stage definitely feels like two pounds and is super clean. I think this would be an awesome trigger for shots that require accuracy and precision.

They've done away with the lock screws of the old models and instead use an internal Nylock system to stop the screws from working their way out.

The only negative I've found is that it the reset doesn't seem quite as conducive to quick follow up shots like the Geissele Super Dynamic 3 Gun that I was running before. The reset is just a little to long and pushes into the 1st stage necessitating pulling through the 1st stage again. At least it does for me and I'm trying to be very careful. It may break in over time and become a little better at just riding the second stage for quick follow up shots.

Thanks for the review Fallout. Which trigger did you go with? Short 1st stage or long?

Your welcome and now I've got an update!

I hit the range Sunday and the trigger worked great. I imagine for long range, slow, super accurate fire it will be great.

However, it was terrible for quick follow up shots. I was right about the reset going all the way back to the first stage so I noticed on double taps I was pulling left.

After getting home I immediately Uninstalled it and put my geissele super dynamic 3 Gun back in.

I use a Geissle two stage. Will not affect your speed and when you have to go out 200 or 300 it will improve accuracy by a bunch

Mike, if you can pick your nose in .16 sec, thats my splits on my AR, you are a real booger picker, oh well we all have to be good at something.
.016?; I can scratch my nuts too, in that time

Have a Geissle 2 stage, would say it would be a poor three gun trigger but is a fantastic target long range trigger. If you want a three gun trigger you want little take up and crisp break fast reset. You want a Hiperfire, much better than a Timmey
