I just ordered some new moonclips for my snubby. I shoot this thing once a year at the match.
Who knows I may hit the target if David keeps it close.
Yea I have a 637 j frame, I tried the HKS one but it gets stuck against the frame and you kinda have to fight with it to get it to let go of the rounds in a timely fashion...I figure if I have to reload that gun in a fight I might as well use it as a small metal boomerang. I imagine that would be unpleasant to have a j frame imbedded in your sternum. :assassin:
It is not when they are in my pocket that they get damaged David....it is after I dump them and someone steps on them. Hitting the floor doesn't seem to deform them in itself either but a shoe bends the heck out of them. I've got some holders for the 625 and they work good with the 686 HKS too but I have just been keeping the 5 shots hanging halfway into my left front pocket.

refering to the self defense with a J frame manual, I see that this is spot on but you left out the, "If empty, reverse grip so the hammer is facing outwards and tomahawk throw your pistol at assailants facial region for maximum effect", Im paraphraising of course.I figure I better get 5 good shots off because it's gonna be a while before I get mine reloaded.
I'm kind of a carry it like you carry it every day kind of guy for the Heartland match. Stick those babies in a pocket and see what a difference it makes in reload times. I figure I better get 5 good shots off because it's gonna be a while before I get mine reloaded.

I did my carry every day gun at the last match and had a ball drawing out of my pocket. I never carry a j frame so this match will have to be with the equipment that I have available and that is not much. An Uncle Mikes nylon holster and hanging the moonclips off my pants pocket.
If I ever really have to reload a snub *in the open*, something went terribly wrong...I should be running for the car, and hopefully more firepower than a 38...a shotgun or something seems more appropriate.
