I'm watching the military channel about sniper rifles.
They are presenting different manufactures weapons for comparison.
This one guy is talking about the 6.7 Lapua round VS the .308.
His comment is that the .308 starts dropping the instant it leaves the barrel.
But, the 6.8 is flying true'r and flatter than the .308 making for the better round as it leaves the barrel....?
Maybe I'm missing something, but don't all rounds drop the instant they leave the barrel?
Meplat and Ogive make the difference in down range trajectory in my understanding.
