I've been starting to plan a build myself. I'd it safe to say one stripped lower is as good as another?

Still got to get hammer, and the other parts, all said, its almost 200 more, not that I cant afford it, just set me back several more months. I only allot myself so much money per month in our budget as "blow" money, which goes to ammo, whatever food I buy at work and school outside of what I take with me, and other personal expenses that are just for funsies, so its slow going on it right now. I hope to have it built by christmas, but we shall see.TacticalK9 said:Cant afford 80 more bucks to do it right? http://www.makereadyproshop.com/product-p/jpfc1.htm
Unless they are sold out ARFCOM.com had lower parts kits for $65 + shipping. I ordered two for some lowers coming in.GamerNxUSN said:Thanks.I have some questions regarding LPKs. From what I am hearing, CMMG's come with slightly better triggers? Is this true? Are the rest of the parts any better? The only place I have seen them is amazon, and they ran about 115, however other places have lpks for around 60 bucks.
What he's saying is, compared to the more expensive LPK you mentioned, this trigger and the cheaper LPK is only about $80 difference.GamerNxUSN said:Still got to get hammer, and the other parts, all said, its almost 200 more, not that I cant afford it, just set me back several more months. Stripped I assume?Corey said:Sooner State Pawn on 59th has delton lowers for $99
Not to mention a bunch of AR's priced accordingly
Just throwing that out there
Right, I understand, but there are LPKs with and without triggers for right around 60-100 dollars. So lets say I get one with trigger, 60 bucks the whole shebang, maybe not as nice as CMMG, but has a trigger none the less. But even an lpk without trigger is 50, and if I get the jp set, which with trigger and hammer is around 180, thats $230DoctorJJ said:What he's saying is, compared to the more expensive LPK you mentioned, this trigger and the cheaper LPK is only about $80 difference.

Buy the cheapest LPK kit you can find, even one without a trigger. Then buy the JP trigger listed above which was like $115. Then I'll give you a hammer and pins.GamerNxUSN said:Right, I understand, but there are LPKs with and without triggers for right around 60-100 dollars. They had a stack of boxes with new delton lowers I am sure finish is great.Lavinius said:Sooner State Pawn is great, I've bought quite a few things from there. How is the finish on the Delton Lower?
Well thats awful nice of you, thanks! Do you know if anyone has been selling LPKs for fairly cheap at the gun shows? Or is cold hand the place to go?DoctorJJ said:Buy the cheapest LPK kit you can find, even one without a trigger. Then buy the JP trigger listed above which was like $115. ar15.com, hope linking is allowed.GamerNxUSN said:Not finding a website called arfcom
The finish on mine is good but 2nd Gen P -mags won't drop free. Aluminum mags work fine. Just for your info. :triniti:Lavinius said:Sooner State Pawn is great, I've bought quite a few things from there. How is the finish on the Delton Lower?
The Spike's buffers have tungsten powder in them and they do work well. I have 3 of the T2 buffers and love them. They work like a dead blow hammer to seat the round in battery. The powder makes them quieter than a solid weight buffer. The weight of the buffer can affect recoil and can affect the weapons cycle. A T2 buffer should work well with most setups, unless you have a light weight BCG, in which case, you may want a different weighted buffer.GamerNxUSN said:Well my next question is buffer tubes/springs and stocks. They guy at Outdoor America said that the spikes tactical are pretty good because they have tungsten in them and absorb more of the recoil. Is that true? Does it really matter? Is it all in the spring?
