K, I'm not really a revolver guy so I haven't kept up with them too much, buy I do recognize the advantages they can have as a self defense weapon, especially for novices.
I've been talking with my mom about getting her a handgun for her house since she's now a widow and lives alone. Originally I was going to give her my Glock 19 or Kahr CW9, but the more I think about it I'm leaning towards a .38 special with 4"-5" barrel.
My first thought was a model 19 because of size, weight and being chambered for .357 I could load it with .38+p's
Are there other/better options out there? I'm not up to date on all the models s&w has so school me please.
