Just noticed .... in the last pic you can see where the front sight is "painted" white. I use White Out on the rear (i.e. the side I can see) of the front sight to help contrast against the rear sights. Black rear sight notch + white front sight = faster sight picture. Your mileage may vary, but the red dot cowitneses with the iron sights and the red dot shines brighter against a white backdrop, an unintentional, yet convenient, side-effect of something I do on all of my "combat arms."
