I had someone hand me a rumor the other day that Heritage Square off the Berlin G. Meyers will be razed and a new Sporting goods store with indoor range will be built there.
Anyone heard anything on this? He says it was in the Summerville Journal Scene. Found some of the information: 338 Magnum, LLC, the purchaser, will be installing a sporting goods store that will sell guns, fishing gear, clothing and other similar merchandise.
Post and Courier had this:
The long-suffering Heritage Square Shopping Center in Summerville might soon come back to life.
A gun shop and indoor shooting range called Palmetto State Armory of Columbia is eyeing the site, according to Adam Ruonala, the company's marketing director.
The gun shop would not occupy the whole building. Ruonala hopes the rest of the structure could be leased to other tenants.
The move is contingent on getting approvals from the town.
