I had someone hand me a rumor the other day that Heritage Square off the Berlin G. Meyers will be razed and a new Sporting goods store with indoor range will be built there.

Anyone heard anything on this? He says it was in the Summerville Journal Scene. Found some of the information: 338 Magnum, LLC, the purchaser, will be installing a sporting goods store that will sell guns, fishing gear, clothing and other similar merchandise.

Post and Courier had this:
The long-suffering Heritage Square Shopping Center in Summerville might soon come back to life.

A gun shop and indoor shooting range called Palmetto State Armory of Columbia is eyeing the site, according to Adam Ruonala, the company's marketing director.

The gun shop would not occupy the whole building. Ruonala hopes the rest of the structure could be leased to other tenants.

The move is contingent on getting approvals from the town.

It sure will be interesting, PSA has large selection of firearms and accessories.

The prices in the store are not always the same as the website. When I stopped in the COlumbia store a few weeks ago, they had a sign on the door that said internet prices were valid on the internet only. They also had some in-store sales going on that were not on the website.

good...hope it puts ATP out of business....or atleast force them to bring their prices down

While ATP has very high prices on guns and ammo it continues to be the best bargain for range fees. Where else can ya shoot for several hours for $5 ?
I shoot there on occasion but never buy anything in the shop.

I'd like the ATP range if it wasn't so crowded on the days I can go. If PSA build at that site I'll be in trouble, it's only a mile from my house.
I wonder what Henry at HHB will do, he's right next door to the shopping center.

Take the time to donate Blood to the Red Cross at a ATP sponsored Blood Drive and get a 3 month range memebership free with lunch to boot. Can't get cheaper than this unless you go to the range at the forest to blow up TVs and put your life into someone elses hands.

That's a good deal for sure and for a great cause but in the 8 years that I have been shooting at the forest ranges I have seen no TVs and there have been more folks shot at the local indoor ranges than at the forest ranges.

Not a bad deal, except I can't give blood. Certain exposures in certain countries, it's a no-go. Plus, the days I'm off its way too crowded.
