I'm looking for a replacement for Winchester white box -
I found New Republic Ammo - https://www.newrepublicammunition.com/index.php/about-us/
On their site they say they are being made according to NATO - making ammo since 1952.

.45 is going for .40 a round, and the 9mm is showing around for .24 a round.

Looks cheap, and a great value for plinking. I'm looking for round more rounds thru my Springfield, and G43x.

For my carry rounds, I am pro Underwood, but they usually don't have their "white box" equivalent in stock.

So has anyone used any of this Eastern European made ammo? I think it's made in Hungary with steel casings, which my indoor range won't let me shoot. It can get smokey for sure.

Nope. After many years of experimenting for good(cheap)ammo. I only buy Federal AE and Speer Lawman. I cannot tolerate a squib. Best quality & accuracy for the $$. Just me. Don't what to offend anyone. MAGA!
I agree with you. You generally get what you pay for. I have never put steel case ammo in my 1911`s. I don't even consider it. The OP seems like a good candidate for getting into reloading.
