That video is why I detest fudds. Fudd = Tory.
ETA: For those unfamiliar with how gun control in the UK went down... The folks in the video talk about how their gun community was divided. Several folks in the video said something like, "Oh, the shotgunners and collectors never thought they'd come for THOSE guns!"
They did come for all of those guns, eventually.
The brits started with restrictions on some pistols in 1902, then licenses/registration for all rifled barreled weapons in 1920, then bans on machine guns on other similar weapons and licenses for shotguns too in 1937, then licenses/registration for the hunting shotguns in 1968, then bans of the semiautos and pumps in 1988, then complete bans on handguns in 1997, and recently air rifles and paintball guns in 2006. All along the way many UK hunters and sportsmen sat out the fight and said, "Well, I've got mine, they won't come for MY shotgun." Some of them as the video now shows regret that.
Any US gunowner who thinks, "Oh, well, they'll let me keep my nice shotgun or 30-30 deer rifle or .22 LR! I trust Sen Feinstein when she tells me she respects my hunting tradition! I don't care about those nasty icky magazines or semiautos!" is not paying attention to how it went down in the UK and isn't listening to what the folks in the video said. Nobody gets thrown out of the sled to slow down the wolves.
PS -- Looks like those UK/Aussie gun owners did give up, too. They turned in their guns and are now very sad and they appear to still be living as subjects. The one guy flipping through a book of pictures of his now destroyed revolver collection comes to mind. "Not giving up" means being prepared to move to a free state/nation that allows citizens to own firearms, it means quiet non-compliance (Canada had around 40% non-compliance with their long gun registry), it means being willing to go to jail if you peacefully and publicly refuse to submit (a la Gandhi, MLK, etc)... and we'll leave it there. If a BS law gets passed and you comply with it when there are other options (especially peaceful options, like moving) then yeah, you're giving up.
