so the gun community splinters further.. we have hunters disagreeing with comp. shooters. Gun manufacturers making enemies with LEO's. People flipping out because ADA police bought "assault rifles". People "boycotting" walmart based off of rumors, etc.. People talking trash about every local gun shop in town due to prices.. I mean if i was an anti i would just look and laugh, instead of uniting together this is most splintered i have ever seen the gun community.. ever..
Benjamin, there is a little truth in different camps not being in agreement with what we consider to be the total picture.
There are generation differences, and sometimes not.
My best buddy that is in his thirty's cannot understand why anybody even wants to own an AR, much less a 30 round mag. We have spent many evenings over beers discussing the why's and why nots. He owns pistols, shotguns, and bolt guns. He is a huge facebooker, and has been influenced by the negativity from that site.
Finally talked him into getting into the USPSA game, and he bought a pistol. As soon as he can find ammo he is going to start, and knowing him, he will own every thing we consider essential weapons before long.
Gun clubs that have the Cowboys, those only interested in Long range shooting with bolt guns, action shooters, really do need to start talking and discussing how we can all be a benefit to each other with our numbers of members.
I don't want a single action colt, but I sure am not going deny somebody that does, and that is where we need to get. Everybody working for the same final goal
